When our products are being manufactured, approximately 14.4kg of our raw frozen recipe is used per 3.6kg bag. The amount of water directed to be added back into the product is intended to be the same amount removed during the freeze-drying process.

One 3.6kg bag of K9 Natural contains approx. 72 cups of freeze-dried food. The purpose of adding water to our freeze-dried products is not to activate the nutrients in the meat, but rather to reconstitute the product back to its original moisture content. Our freeze-dried pellets do not absorb water like a sponge as we do not include as fillers or preservatives of any kind in our products.
